Birdhouse Series
The birdhouse constructions or assemblages discuss the "insides" and "outsides" of things. Through meditation, one might come to realize that insides are outsides, and vice versa. The question is, "What metaphor can pass through the ideas, showing all sides?" The answer, for now, is "Birds." The birdhouses are the visual images made in order to physically visualize the concepts, and the birds themselves are the invisible images that actually do the work (or play) of creating insight.
